Description

This 46 page e-workbook is filled with lessons and ideas that will inspire you to use creativity to explore the myriad aspects of your personality. Set up a playdate with your childhood self! Put on your wizard hat and have tea with dragons! Outfit your inner superhero! Make friends with your inner critics! Bring your daydreams to life!

You will explore these themes by creating artist trading cards as you learn wonderful new techniques to enhance and illuminate your art. ATCs and collage techniques are a fun and easy way for even the busiest people to create exciting works of art. Journaling exercises will help you to get past creative blocks and find your artistic voice and the fun techniques and themes will inspire you to create work that uses that voice to sing!

You will receive this workbook as a pdf file filled with daily creative nudges and inspiring ideas as well as assignments that will include writing exercises, themes for artist trading cards you will be creating, and techniques for you to use in your artwork.

If you enjoy looking at yourself from a new perspective and using that as a catalyst for creativity, this is the workbook for you! Even if you are intimidated by the word "art", you can still play. There are no rules! Come create and explore! It is going to be a great adventure!

This listing is for my original e-workbook. You will receive an email with a pdf file attached that includes the entire workbook. You can print it out or read through it on your computer. Please do not copy it or use it to teach from as these are my original ideas.

A student in my original focus group for this workbook had this to say about her experience:

After a few days of trying to think outside the box I came up with something inspired by my new atc experiences. I've already created over 150 individual pieces of art in the last few weeks, which is more productive and more blissful than any other experience I've ever had as an artist. Intuitively signing up for this workshop was one of the most magical serendipities and creative boosts I've experienced in the last few years. Thank you, Rachel and the group, for facilitating my creative blossoming. :)

In gratitude,
April

I just posted this to my Etsy store.  In the past, I have offered it as an e-course that I sent out as daily lessons via email with an accompanying Yahoo group.  Now I am going to try it as a downloadable workbook and see if that flies.  I don't think there are very many workbooks or tutorials being offered on Etsy right now so that might help.  We shall see.

The Faeries are Coming!

Brian and Wendy Froud, of Henson Muppets and Dark Crystal fame, have started this amazing Faerie Festival and, lucky, lucky me, it is quite close to where I live!  So, a whole gaggle of my Etsy street team friends - and anyone else we can rope into donning some glitter and wings - will be descending on  Faerieworlds  this August!  I am so excited!!! Three days of fae fun with wings, crowns, pointy ears and swirly skirts!

I am thinking that I will need at least two different costumes - a good fae and a bad fae.  One a more typical woodsy kind of faery with flowers, leaves, crystals and such and one a more goth faery with black corset, boots, stripey tights, etc.  Hmmmm....so many fun possibilities!  I have already started surfing Etsy for ideas.

Wings
Check out the amazing wings in this shop!  I cannot stop drooling!

And I am pretty sure I need this dress from this fun Etsy shop.

I am madly in love with this incredible Faery doll from this shop.

And can I just say, "How freaking cute is this?!!"

I've got faeries on the brain!!!

I am also wildly excited that I get to meet the wonderfully awesome Michelle of Greenfingers  tomorrow!  I am so lucky to have team members here in Oregon!  Michelle makes the most beautiful knitted and embroidered goddesses that she stuffs with herbs so they smell as lovely as they look.  I was lucky enough to get one for Yule this year and it looks wonderful on my altar.  Check out the mermaid one she has in her shop now:

And it's Friday!  I am feeling a little giddy with all the fun things to look forward to!  I am grateful to be attracting friends and playtime into my life.  I have been isolating for a long time and taking myself much too seriously.  I need a little glitter and girl time.
